In this work, hyper-branched polyimides, with two different terminated groups, were prepared from commercially available A2-type dianhydride monomers, 3,3',4,4'-benzophenonetetracarboxylic dianhydride (BTDA) and 4,4'-oxydiphthalicanhydride (ODPA) with BB2'-type triamine monomer 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine (TAP) by condensation polymerization. Both Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and 1H NMR spectroscopy were used to verify the molecular structures of the synthesized hyper-branched polyimides. The molecular weights of the synthesized hyper-branched polyimides were measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The glass transition temperature (Tg) and thermal stability of the hyper-branched polyimides were investigated by DSC and TGA, respectively. Consequently, it was found that the hyper-branched polyimides obtained showed various thermal stabilities, resulting from the chemical structures with different terminated groups. |
