According to earlier reports in tissue engineering, natural extracts were known to have various therapeutic effects, such as antioxidant, anticancer, and regeneration of bone. Inorganic compounds including calcium phosphates possess similar chemical composition to human bone. Therefore, inorganic ceramics possess excellent biocompatibility compared to other biomaterials. The purpose of this study is to find the effect of natural extracts incorporation on biocompatibility of inorganic film. The analysis on the components of the extract were conducted using HPLC. The biocompatibility of the modified film was evaluated in vitro cell assays. Our results illustrated that natural extract has positive effects on damage cell.
