The physical properties of biodegradable Poly(Trimethylene Carbonate-co-Caprolactone) with various compositions were evaluated by DSC, TGA, GPC and SEM. The compositions were 100/0, 90/10, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75, 10/90 and 0/100 mole%. For the invitro degradation study, the samples were treated in a phosphate buffer, pH 7.4 at 37°C for 3weeks under shaking(60times/sec). Poly(Trimethylene Carbonate-co-Caprolactone) was a random copolymer and the glass transition temperature of the samples were in the range of -65°C to -20°C. As the content of Caprolactone was increased, they showed the properties of crystalline and the content of Caprolactone was more than 75mole%, there was a state change from amorphous to semi-crystalline. The higher the content of Caprolactone was, the better the thermal stability was. |
