제목 Characterization of metal-loaded TiO2/graphene oxide nanocomposites
초록 Recently, graphene has been attracted interest for its excellent transparency, high surface area, and electrical conductivity. These properties of graphene will be a great help in improving the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2. In order to delay the recombination of electrons and holes and widen the band gap, new research on reforming TiO2 by doping it with metal ions was eagerly being carried out.
In this work, nickel (Ni) and copper (Cu) nanoparticles were loaded by chemical reduction onto TiO2 under different loadings ranged from 2 up to 10 wt% and hydrothermal synthesis method deposited on graphene oxide. The surface characteristics, physical properties, and crystallite structure of the metal-loaded TiO2/graphene nanocomposites were investigated using the transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements.
