제목 | Fabrication of Flexible Transparent Electrode Using Simple and Scalable Self-Assembly of Ag Nanowires |
초록 | Transparent electrodes are fundamental components in optoelectronic devices, including displays and solar cells. Recently, many researches have been proceeded toward the manufacturing of transparent electronics with low-cost and large-scale process. Indium tin oxide (ITO) has been commonly dominated for this purpose, the market share of ITO reaches 90 % in the transparent electrode fields, due to high optical transmittance and low sheet resistance. The use of ITO as transparent electrodes, however, has many drawbacks for the next generation of flexible optoelectronic devices, due to brittleness of conductive oxide, scarcity of indium, and difficulty in large area. Therefore, many transparent electrode materials to replace ITO has been considered for future flexible optoelectronics. Several promising candidates as the potential replacements for ITO include carbon based materials such as CNT and graphene, polymer materials such as PEDOT:PSS, Ag metal materials such as nanoparticles (NPs) and nanowires (NWs). In this work, we successfully manufactured the transparent electrodes of novel concept using a Meyer rod technique for scalable coating roll-to-roll of Ag NWs. The Ag NWs transparent electrode with high optical transmittance (>92%) and low sheet resistance (40 Ω/sq) is simply fabricated on flexible polymer films of large scale. In addition, we also study a figure of merit of the fabricated transparent electrode, and demonstrate the superiority of mechanical stability by bending fatigue test. |
