We developed the functional nanowire platform to enhance the stem cell differentiation. The functional nanowire platforms enabled the control of the electrical stimulation to stem cells in a controlled manner. To create the electrical stimuli, we developed the nanowire platforms controlled by the function generator. We observed the effect of electrical stimulation on stem cell differentiation and also optimized the voltage ranges of electrical stimulation on stem cells, showing that stem cells exposed to electrical stimulation were largely differentiated in the nanowire platform. Therefore, this nanowire platform could be a useful for directing the stem cell fate. |
