제목 The Effect of Silica on Fatigue Crack Growth Characteristics of EPDM Elastomer
초록 Fatigue crack growth characteristics of elastomeric materials are an important factor determining the strength and durability of the products. The effect of the silica on fatigue crack growth of EPDM was investigated in this study. The crack growth (dc/dn) of silica filled EPDM depended on the tearing energy (T). Silica filler had a retardation effect on fatigue crack growth rate of EPDM. As the amount of silica increased from 0 to 30phr, fatigue life increased and leveled off at 50phr. Also, the fatigue life increased when the frequency increased and temperature decreased.
