제목 Electrical and physical properties ofglycidyl methacrylate-functionalized MWNTs/PMMA nanocomposites
초록 In this work, glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) was grafted onto the surface of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs). The GMA-MWNT/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanocomposites were prepared by solution polymerization and the effect of GMA-MWNT content on electrical and physical properties of the nanocomposites was studied. The results showed that the GMA was successfully grafted onto the MWNTs by ring opening of epoxide groups. The electrical conductivity of the nanocomposites was gradually increased with increasing the GMA-MWNT content, resulted from the increase of the conductive network by interconnected MWNTs in the PMMA matrix. The tensile strength of the nanocomposites were remarkably improved by the addition of the GMA-MWNTs. It was attributed to the strong physical interaction between GMA-MWNTs and PMMA matrix.
