We fabricated the Fe2O3 nanoparticle/PANI/PSS (F/PANI/PSS) nanocomposite for toxic gas sensor. The Fe2O3 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized using dual-nozzle electrospray and carbonization process. These Fe2O3 NPs were characterized using XPS, XRD, TEM, SEM and EELS Mapping. The F/PANI/PSS nanocomposite was obtained by mechanically blending the Fe2O3 NPs with the aqueous PANI/PSS solution. The synthesized F/PANI/PSS were distributed on the interdigitated array (IDA) glass substrate to apply the sensor electrode. These conducting nanocomposite were used to detect the toxic gas (NO2) at room temperature. The minimum detectable level (MDL) of F/PANI/PSS was as low as 1 ppm, because of the synergetic effect of organic/inorganic composite. |
