In this work, we produced large area graphene oxide (GO) sheets by inducing of shear stress and obtained high quality reduced graphene oxide (RGO) sheets without post annealing process, which is described as rheologically-derived RGO. The large area GO sheets are generated by homogenizer in aqueous solution due to slip of GO to the in-plane direction during exfoliation process, in contrast to a conventional sonication method. The effects of chemical reduction at mild conditions demonstrate that the formation of structural defects during exfoliation process can affects the RGO properties. In Raman spectra, the ID/IG ratio of homogenizer-used RGO (HRGO) was increased more than that of sonicated-RGO (SRGO) because of large amount of the ordered sixfold rings on the basal plane. The enhanced sheet resistance of HRGO shows 2.2 k/sq at 80% transmittance. The effective exfoliation method has great potential for the application of high performance RGO-TCFs. |
