Synthesis of redox-responsive core cross-linked (CCL) micelles was carried out using azide-alkyne click chemistry. Poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(glycidyl methacrylate) (PEO-b-PGMA) block copolymers were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of glycidyl methacrylate(GMA) using PEO-Br as a macroinitiator. The CCL micelles of the azide functional PEO-b-PGMA-N3 were carried out using dipropargyl 3,3’-dithiodipropionate as a cross-linking agent. Decross-linked micelles were conducted in reducing atmosphere. The block copolymers and micelles were demonstrated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). |
