제목 Facile preparation of high-conductivity 2D polyaniline nanosheets on ice surfaces
초록 Polyaniline (PANI) has widely been investigated to be used in a range of electrochemical devices because of its good environmental stability, redox reversibility, and easy of synthesis. Decades of research on PANI have further revealed that the electrical properties can be largely tailored by changing the dimensionality of nanostructures. Here, we report a facile synthesis of 2D PANI nanosheets via chemical oxidative polymerization using ice as a new template. The ice offers unique surfaces of water molecules facilitating hydrogen bonding interactions with aniline monomers. The easy removal of ice also enables the attainment of template-free PANI nanosheets. Interestingly, the ice-PANI nanosheets have demonstrated two orders of magnitude higher electrical conductivity than the conventional PANI thin films, attributed to a unique edge-on π-stacking of quinoid rings along the ordered hydroxyl groups at the ice surfaces.
