제목 Photo- and pH-sensitive microgels containg polyethylenimine and cinnamic acid
초록 Polyehtyleneimine has amine groups so it has positive charges in water. Cinnamic acid can be dimerized upon the UV light irradiation at 365 nm. Moreover, it could have negative charge with in water because of its carboxy group. As a result pH and photo responsive microgels can be prepared by electrostatic interaction between cinnamic acid and PEI, and due to hydrophobicity of cinnamic acid they can be easily self assembled. In this experiment, PEI and cinnamic acid were dissolved together in water with the ionized ratio of positive charges of PEI and negative charges of cinnamic acid at 3:7, 4:6, 5:5 to form microgel. The microgels, which formed at pH7, were missed at pH8, pH9, pH10. And under the irradiation of UV light at 365nm, they disapeared.
