제목 Hierarchically Self-Assembled Nanoporous Membrane for Highly Concentrated Virus Soups
초록 Severe viral diseases, such as AIDS, SARS and ARDS, have been spread globally. The research about virus is important to prevent and treat the viral infection. For this purpose, a highly concentrated virus soup is required. Although some viruses are easily concentrated through simple cultivation, others (ex, HCV) could not by simple cultivation. In this case, centrifugation has been widely used but this needs very time-consuming process and the efficiency is low. To solve these disadvantages, we prepared hierarchically self-assembled nanoporous membrane based on AAO membrane. This membrane has larger pores at the bottom side, which facilitates the flux. And, the upper part of the membrane has very small and uniform pore size which is suitable for the filtration of the virus. Since any virus did not penetrate through the membrane, we could obtain highly concentrated virus soup with an efficiency of 80%, which is 4 times greater than that achieved by centrifugation method.
