Langevin dynamics simulation of aerosol coagulation in highly concentrated systems
Coagulation frequencies in concentrated systems are determined for the entire Knudsen number range based on the detailed simulations of particle trajectories obtained from solution of the Langevin equations. Weak dependence of the coagulation coefficient is found for the free molecule regime, while the contrary is true in the continuum limit, where its significant increase is observed with the increase of aerosol concentration.
