Carbonylbiscaprolactam (CBC) offers promising potential for plastics pro-cessing and polymer diversification. This non-toxic additive converts linear, branched and hyperbranched polyols and polyamines into polyurethanes, polyureas and prepolymers containing blocked isocyanate end groups without either phosgene or isocyanate resins.
