Multifunctional concepts for plastic parts have achieved their market success as a result of the variety of materials available and technologically advanced processing equipment. To take advantage of multi-material-technology, processors must conduct active R&D to identify emerging technological trends and put them into practice at an early stage, long before the start of mass production.
