No fear of foaming
RETROFITS. Functional integration, productivity gains, quality improvements - these buzz words characterise specialised injection moulding techniques. Although the benefits are obvious, many processors fear high investment costs and significant hurdles when introducing such technology. However, this does not have to be the case, as this injection moulding technique for foam illustrates. The easily retrofitted Optifoam System consists of an injection nozzle for metering the fluid blowing agent into the melt, along with a static mixer to homogenise the melt, and produces injection moulded foam parts with a uniform structure and an outstanding surface.
