Advances in both combustion and post-combustion technologies have dramatically cut emissions from all US powerplants-even those falsely reported by mainstream media to be "grandfathered" out of complying with the Clean Air Act. Further improvements are coming from new, multi-pollutant and mercury-control technologies, as well as refinements of existing systems.
