DCS reinvigorates Hong Kong's oldest plant
An inability to get spare parts for its old, analog boiler control systems was only one reason the owner of Hong Kong's giant Castle Peak Power Station decided to go digital. Another was that only a distributed digital control system can control Castle Peak's coal-fired boilers precisely enough to cycle their units daily without incurring costly performance penalties.
