Marmy's nuclear sewer pipe
The exploits of six-foot-four, steel-brush-mustached marine engineer. Marmaduke Surfaceblow with the foghorn voice have appeared in the pages of POWER since 1948, when he raised the wooden mast of the SS Asia Sun with the aid of two cobras and a case of Sandpaper Gin. For more than 30 years, Steve Elonka wrote about the exploits of Marmy in the pages of POWER. This classic Marmaduke story first appeared in 1959, just five years after the Nautilus was commissioned. The Nautilus is now docked at Groton's Submarine Force Library and Museum, where it attracts 250,000 visitors yearly.
