Mechanism and efficiency of the inhibiting action of 1,3-di-(4-phenylaminophenoxy)-2-propanol and 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol in the oxidation of methyl linoleate
The mechanism of the inhibiting action of the aromatic amine 1,3-di-(4-phenylaminophenoxy)-2-propanol and the sterically hindered phenol 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol (ionol) in oxidizing methyl linoleate was studied. The key reactions in the mechanism of inhibition by the antioxidants were identified, and the corresponding kinetic parameters were estimated. The mechanisms of the action of the antioxidants were compared, and the reasons for the main differences in their efficiency were established.
