The utilization of modified phenol-formaldehyde resin wastes in sewage treatment processes
Phenol-formaldehyde resin wastes were aminated and the resulting anionic polyelectrolytes were successfully used as flocculants, 67 or 100 mg/L, for industrial (and also municipal) waste waters. Turbidity of waste waters fell to 50% and even 22% of the original value. Soluble impurities were decreased and quality of the waste waters was improved.
