The use of modified ion-exchange resins for the recovery of Pd(II) ions
A review with 39 refs. covering selective removal of mg amts. of Pd(II) ions on (ascending affinity) Spheron Salicyl < Spheron Oxine < Spheron Thiol ion-exchange resins and on tri-isobutylphosphine sulfide- or 1,2,3,4-tetrazine- or thiosemi-carbazide- or like-modified styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer, from used-up vehicle exhaust gas converters, com. catalysts, wastewaters, anode slimes etc., selectivity of polyacrylnitryl-thiosemicarbazide resin toward Rh(III), Ru(III), Pd(II), and Ir(IV), and appin. of an epoxy-imidazole resin to sorb 20 ng/cm(3)Au(III), Pd(IV), and Ru(III) from solns. contg. Cu(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), Ga(III), Bi(III), and Al(III) ions.
