Organozeolites and organoclays used for the adsorption of ions from aqueous solutions
A review with 29 refs. covering adsorption of ions on organozeolites and organoclays surface modified with quaternary ammonium salts and amines is given. The following topics are suggested for supplementation: the data concerning anionic interfeiences in chromate adsorption, CrO42-,ion-induced desorption of surfactants from organoaluminosilicates in relation to anion radius, structure and hydration energy. The lack of the data referring to reuse routes for CrO42- ion-loaded zeolites and to explanation why CrO(4)(2-)ions are poorly adsorbed on organoaluminosilicates from high-pH aq. soins is noticed.
