CaCO(3) was pptd. from waste liqs. from Solvay process at 293-313 K and 500 rpm in presence of 2 com. surface active agents (0.5-1.5 mass parts) for 2 or 60 min. Bulk and packing d., H(2)O, o-C(6)H(4)(COOBu)(2) and paraffin oil absorption capacity, particle size distribution and crystal-log, form of the CaCO(3) crystals were detd. The addn. of surface active agents resulted in increasing the packing d. of the CaCO(3) crystals.
