A mineral from the Dunino deposit as a nano-raw material for paint production
The mineral from Dunino mine was sepd. into light and heavy fractions in hydrocyclone and studied for chem. compn., grain morphol., cryst. structure, thermal properties and applicability in paints. Halloysite clays from USA, New Zeland and other Polish deposits were studied for comparison. The mineral studied was recommended as pigment for dispersion paints, its heavy fraction for anti-corrosive paints and its light fraction as biocide carrier in paint formulations.
