Mixts. of epsilon-caprolactam or omega-aminolauryllactam with adipic acid or sebacic acid were copolymerized at 290 degrees C and 0,1 MPa for 300 mm to resp. alpha,omega-dicarboxyoligoamides, and then studied for softening point, mol. mass and content of amino and carboxyl groups. A good agreement between the calcd. and expt. detd. mol masses was achieved.
