Torsion and annealing textures of 99.99% aluminum
The torsion and annealing textures of 99.99% aluminum have been studied. The aluminum specimen was prepared by drawing an aluminum rod of 16mm in diameter to 4.9mm in diameter and annealing at 400degreesC for 1 h. The specimen was twisted at a strain rate of 10(-3)/s at room temperature. The specimen was annealed at 400degreesC for I It. The texture of the outer layer of the specimen was measured by the X-ray diffraction method. When the specimen was annealed, the sharpness of the main orientation components in the deformation textures increased. The experimental results have been discussed based on dislocation interactions.
