Concept of Waste Heat Recovery for Material Usage of Coal/Biomass Using a High Temperature Heat Exchanger
Due to their limited resources, it will be essential to substitute petroleum products by material usage of coal and biomass. Process chains for the material use are not profitable yet. Therefore, this paper presents the development of an innovative concept of waste heat recovery in order to increase the energetic efficiency and profitability of the overall process. It consists of an indirectly heated gas turbine followed by a downstream heat-recovery steam generator for the provision of the gasification agent. The energetic balancing shows the thermodynamical potential of waste heat recovery.
