Three activated sludges were studied for dewatering ability under action of ultrasounds (energy up to 6 kWh/kg dry mass). The process was controlled by detn. of capillary suction time and sludge particle size. The process showed an increased efficiency only at low ultrasound energy (<0.5 kWh/kg).
