The effect of ruthenium content on thermal stability of the carbon support in Ru/carbon systems for catalytic methanation of carbon(II) oxide
A series of active C-supported Ru catalysts for methanation of CO was prepd. and studied by CO chemisorptions, X-ray diffraction and catalytical activity in conversion of CO to MeH. The addn. of Ru resulted in an acceleration of methanation of CO. At above 500 degrees C, a methanation of the catalyst C support was also obsd.
