Design and Characterization of an Innovative Process Screening Device for Multiphase Reactions
With a characterized experimental setup, the activity of different catalysts and additives can be investigated while performing heterogeneously catalyzed multiphase reactions. The setup has been characterized by means of mass- and heat transfer and is suitable for the simultaneous execution of up to six individual tests at comparable and homogeneous process parameters. Furthermore, the screening setup can be used to determine the influence of the stirrer geometry, the gassing ratio, and the reaction mass composition.
