The possibilities of using technical glycerol as an additive in the production of briquettes from plant biomass and its impact on the combustion products
Briquettes were prepd. sep. from various species of straw and sawdust, with 5% or 10% addn. of glycerol or without glycerol. The addn. of glycerol resulted in 5% increase of calorific value of briquettes and in 12% redn. of the ash content in the combustion products.
