Applicability of linseed oil as a model substance for testing UV barrier properties of packaging films
The UV barrier properties of 4 packaging films used in food industry were studied by using chem. tests for linseed oil. Peroxide and anisidine values, total oil-oxidn. index and oil colour were detd. by std. methods. The detn. of oil-oxidn. index was found the most efficient method for evaluation of the film quality.
