High d. polyethylene and polycarbonate (PC) were used as materials for designing carts used in sliding door system. The computer-aided design based on the finite element method was used to det. both stresses in the designed subassembly as well as its optimal shape and mass then its computer-aided manufg. The tested cart made of PC had twice as large the allowable stresses.
