An important problem of reliable, leak-proof formation isolation, rocks and potentially productive layers preservation is reviewed. Possibility of getting light weight cement slurries on the basis of portland-cement is confirmed. Advantages of presented cement slurries in comparison with traditionally used cement compositions are shown.
