Oil spills elimination utilizing synthetic organic sorbents
Absorbtion properties of some synthetic sorbents for oil and water are analyzed and compared. it is shown, that sorbents with closed globular structure provides for selective gathering of oil from water surface, and sorbents with open globular and fibrous structure, having high absorbtion values, are not selective. Absorbtion ability and technological efficiency of oil gathering by organic sorbents are analyzed.
