Thermoforming heavy gauge sheet
Visual observations combined with formability and material-distribution determinations are used to establish thermoforming windows for copolyester, acrylic, and polycarbonate heavy gauge sheet. The copolyester is shown to have the lowest optimum forming temperature and energy cost while providing material properties and pricing between those of the other two polymers.
