Monolithic catalysts for hydrocarbons removal from combustion gases.
Tests of the impact of platinum, rhodium and cerium dioxide content in powder monolithic catalysts, produced by the gel-gel method, on the efficiency of hydrocarbons combustion have been carried out. It has been stated that catalyst activity increases with rhodium and platinum content. Efficiency of hexane and toluene combustion can be increased by addition of cerium dioxide (0,12%) to the active layer of catalyst containing 0.15% of Pt, 0,0-04% of Rh. Good activity showed also the catalyst containing 0.15% of Pt, 0.04% of Rh and 0,37% of CeO2 deposited on the middle layer.
