The performance of 1,6-bis(N,N'-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)-hexane has been investigated as a bifunctional crosslinker for truck the compounds in comparison with conventional and semi-efficient vulcanizing systems. The different technological profiles of the vulcanizates obtained are discussed in terms of static and dynamic properties before and after aging, It was found that vulcanizates with 1,6-bis(N,N'-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)-hexane as the crosslinker have excellent reversion and heat stability with no deterioration in the dynamic properties.
