Improving the heat resistance of hydrogenated nitrile rubber compounds Part 1: Aging mechanisms for high saturation rubber compounds
Aging mechanisms for hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPM) compounds under severe oxidative conditions are discussed, Based on results from compounding studies and analytical experiments, the importance of balancing the molecular parameters affecting the HNBR microstructure for optimum long-term performance is highlighted.
