COKE DRY COOLING PLANT AND COMBINED HEAT AND POWER-STATION OF THE COKING PLANT KAISERSTUHL
The Coking Plant Kaiserstuhl has a coke dry cooling Plant. which in contrast to the generally existing wet quenching treatments fulfills all the prerequisites of environmental protection and of heat recovery. The possibility of a comprehensive heat recovery by the coke dry cooling plant leads to a considerable improvement of the thermal efficiency of the coking process. The steam, produced by the cooling gas in a waste heat boiler, can be used for electricity and process generation. Of the electricity generated in a combined heat and power station (25 MW), 10 MW arc fed into the public grid The paper describes rhe chemical-technical concept of the coke dry cooling and the combined heat and power station.
