CAPITAL AVAILABILITY FOR THE INDUSTRIAL COMBINED HEAT AND POWER-GENERATION
Combined investment supporting and financing concept with the help of technology-specific return on investment Different studies on the industrial combined heat and power generation (KWK) in the 1980s ascertained a partly considerable technical and economic potential in the Federal Republic of Germany. The realization of this potential, however, has fallen behind the expectations up to now. In the discussion on the hindering influencing factors. a lack of capital availability for potential operators has been mentioned time and again. Aggravated by the continuing difficult economic situation, a more and more pressing demand arises for a suitable strategy for overcoming the existing financial bottlenecks in industrial enterprises. In this paper, risk and liquidity considerations of investors are picked out first as a central theme. The systematic analysis of the internal operational competitive situation finally forms the starting point for an investment supporting, in which apart from the State also energy supply enterprises and third parties are required for securing and maintaining the financeability of necessary energy-technical options on a long-term basis.
