Enzymatic synthesis of dodecyl.beta-D-glucopyranoside catalyzed by Candida molischiana 35M5N beta-glucosidase
The enzymatic synthesis of dodecyl.beta-D-glucopyrano-side was studied by using the beta-glucosidase from Candida molischiana 35M5N in the examination of transglucosylation and hydrolysis reversion reactions. On account of cost considerations the condensation reaction was optimized. The effects of the extraction solvent, the initial 1-dodecanol and glucose concentrations, the temperature and the incubation time were studied. The optimal conditions for the enzymatic synthesis of dodecyl.beta-D-glucopyranoside by the condensation reaction were: 90% (v/v) 1-dodecanol initial concentration; glucose concentration (50 mM), temperature 40 degrees C and reaction time 20 h.
