(Vapour plus liquid) Equilibria of binary mixtures of CO2, CH2F2, CHF3, and SF6
Measurements of the critical properties of {xCO(2) + (1 -x)CH2F2} and of the (vapour + liquid) equilibria of {xCO(2) + (1 - x)CH2F2}, {xCHF(3) + (1 - x)SF6}, and {xSF(6) + (1 -x)CH2F2} have been carried out in the temperature range above T=265 K, using a static equilibrium apparatus. The experimental uncertainties of the pressure and the temperature measurements are +/-3kPa and +/-20mK, respectively. The mole fraction composition was determined by gas-chromatography with an accuracy within +/-0.3%. The experimental results for the binary mixtures are represented by several cubic equations of state with van der Waals mixing and combining rules using only the experimental critical data of the pure components and those of an approximately equimolar mixture for the determination of the binary interaction parameters. The ability of the optimised cubic equations of state to give an appropriate description of the (vapour + liquid) equilibria in the temperature range above T=265 K is highlighted.
