Optimizing production operations can increase production rates and reduce production costs. For single wells or other small systems, simple nodal analysis can be adequate. However, large, complex systems require a sophisticated approach. Many mature fields produce by use of gas lift under multiple constraints imposed by the system's capacity. An optimization technique was developed to allocate well production and lift-gas rates in large fields subject, to multiple flow-rate and pressure constraints.
