Tritium storage and conveyance tank is composed of 1st/2nd storage tank, three different insulating layers(polyurethane form, polyethylene form and ceramic board), and conveyance tank. The stainless steel 316L(TP 316L) is used as a material of 1st tritium storage tank. For investigating the material properties of tritium storage tank, material tests such as mechanical strength and corrosion tests were carried out. From results, the stainless steel 316L(TP 316L) was shown as acceptable materials for the tritium storage tanks because the test results was satisfied with standard criteria of ASTM A370 and ASTM Practice A763.
