Large-scale hydrothermal synthesis of twinned rutile titania
The dispersed, regular twinned rutile titania (TiO2) has been firstly generated by the hydrothermal treatment of potassium hexatitanate whiskers in 1M HCl solution by rearranging structural units. It has been proved that the original structures of starting materials have a tremendous influence on the nucleation process, the crystal growth, and the morphology during the hydrothermal process.
