제목 Synthesis of Nano-sized Metal ion-doped TiO2 using Thermal Plasma
초록 Thermal plasma processing has unique characteristics due to high temperature, high activity and rapid quenching. This processing can adapt to synthesized nano-sized powder. High quality nano-sized TiO2 powder and various metal ion(Fe, Zn, Al) doped TiO2 were prepared using DC plasma jet. TiCl4, Iron acetylacetonate, Zinc chloride, Aluminum chloride were fed into plasma flame respectively. Oxygen gas was fed into the reactor as a reaction gas. The characteristics of the powder were investigated such as phase composition, particle size, particle morphology, and the absorbance of UV-Vis. light by XRD, SEM, TEM, UV-Vis. spectroscopy. The anatase phase was increased with introduction of metal dopant, the size of particle was in range of 30 nm ~ 50 nm and the shape of particle was round. In case of metal doped TiO2, light absorbance of powder was shifted in visible region comparing to pure TiO2.
